Using a Sailing analogy, we examine the Build, Measure, Learn mindset required to maximise the output of an Agile Lab and a solid set of KPI’s. We work through practical examples of a workshop and how we would facilitate an iterative approach to moving forward through each stage of tests. We detail how to interpret results using Statistical Significance, with some shortcuts on Excel formula.
We give practical experience of findings from our work including pack designs, colour of products, ingredients choices, naming of products, and the optimal number of Pepperoni slices on a pizza.
Lastly, we highlight the need for governance in the process, without eliminating the need for trust outlined in Chapter 9 granting more autonomy to the innovation teams.
